I've had this Barracini for a while. Good for quick smokes. I have no idea how or where I got this, though.

And the answer is... meer chips! As the weather has turned colder and the days shorter here in Atlanta, I find myself craving shorter smokes. In addition to the filtering benefits of meer chips, you can also stack them up in any bowl to make it as short as you want. Pretty much every bowl smoked over the last few weeks (I smoke a lot) has been a half bowl with the meer chips, mostly ribbon cuts; flake is a little much when it's cold and breezy.

Nice to see the opera with an oval chamber. The modern ones I’ve seen have had round chambers.Here's the ultimate "10 minute tiny pipe". Castello Searock from 1948 and unsmoked.! Take a close look and if you would like to own it let me know how much....

I couldn't find any 10-minute pipes, but did find these 10-second models...

My favorite "short smoke" is a Kings Cross Featherweigt #305A

A proper Opera pipe should have a small oval bowl so it does not cause an "unsightly" bulge in the breast of your tux. Just because a pipe is unusually small, does not make it an Opera pipe.

I'm not sure if they have been mentioned on this thread yet but Ropp makes some nice little pipes. I have two of their small ones, is that Etudiant? line, a Liverpool and a panel prince. Both are quite small and dainty, probably like a group 1 from Dunhill and make for a nice quick smoke.
I have some tiny pipes, including a proper Opera shape, which I very seldom smoke.
If I have but ten minutes, I'll load a full size pipe, smoke it, then put it in a pocket to enjoy later. Sometimes several different times!
Saves time and allows for great smokes.

I actually have one of these. I got it on ebay and who ever had it before me actually smoke it. So meh when in rome!
