I happen to like SWRA, unlike the gasoline infused puppy farts that constitute the flavor notes of the current "version" of Balkan Sobranie, a substance that should be banned and buried deep in the mantle of the earth.. BS is made from rejected batches of Holly's Non Plus Ultra that have been smuggled into England by anti smoking terrorists and aged in only the busiest of privies for several years. Batches deemed too foul for even this loathsome blend are repackaged as Penzance. Batches deemed too foul even for the Penzance line get sent to Germany where they are sold as Elwood #2.

Sounds like I might like that lol. Several of the blends listed in this thread seem oddly appealing to me, TBH.

Years ago I tried Solani White and Black. Never smoked such a confused blend of disparate flavors before. Perhaps I should give it another go.

Erinmore. Not bad flavor, but it ghosts my pipes and has a half-life of 10,000 years (I've counted the years one by one, and it's been tedious, but patience has revealed that 10,000 is the number of years it takes Erinmore to dissipate halfway).

Another popular tobacco that I can't tolerate is Samuel Gawith's 1792. It, too, has good flavor, but I made the horrendous mistake of trying it for the first time on an empty stomach first thing in the morning at a pipe show. I had to quit halfway through the bowl and was unable to smoke again for the remainder of the day. Let me reitterate: this was at a pipe show. I spent a whole day at a pipe show, not smoking. Imagine my dissatisfaction. That was around 12 years ago, and I've not yet forgiven the blend.
