Why would I need to listen to them on a show when I could just call them?
Now, if you just don't want to listen, I'm not going to try to convince you, but to just be fair, the radioshow isn't anything like youtube. It's not a guy talking about smoking a pipe or how to smoke a pipe. It's news from inside the tobacco industry, with people who work in the industry, more like news. What blends may be changing, company buy outs, new blends coming and going. It's much different than a bunch of us know-nothings setting around speculating. Brian used to work for Sutliff, Mac Barens, etc... He knows some people on the insides of these companies. Tobacco blenders talking about what it is to be a blender, how they work, new blends in the works. Different leafs, different blends... insights into the world of where our tobaccos come from.

Then you have people who work for pipe makers, factory discussions. New pipemakers discussing their designs or engineering. Briar harvesters. The pipe market, what's changing in how pipes are distributed. Pipe collectors, and how they got into it.

Then sometimes it's just great interviews with interesting people who smoke pipes, authors, artists, truck drivers. Interesting insights into how they see their pipe hobbies, or just their work. It's like meeting someone from here. Sometimes they are people from here.

If someone enjoys the posts on here, then I would think they would enjoy listening to Brian and his guests. He has "our" sense of humor, and he doesn't force an opinion. He is very openminded and funny to listen to.

But, yeh... I can't bring myself to watch a YouTube. Most of it is... really boring. I would rather read most of the time, mostly because I can read faster than Youtubers can get a point across. And, I am not as dedicated to listening to the radioshows as soon as they come out. I usually get behind by a few months, and the peruse the ones that seem like they would be the most interesting and listen while driving or working, most days.

But, like I said, I am not twisting arms. I just wanted to make sure the show wasn't misrepresented as just another youtube with someone talking about different packing styles or which freakin' lighter works the best for pipes. Or, trendy stuff like which tobacco is "hot" at the moment or such. It's just a fun, funny little show which has better information than we all can get about stuff that appeals to most of us, instead of just bantering about it on here.

Actually completely different. This is an interactive conversation, a radio talk show is more like a droning lecture.
There is actually three really good podcasts regarding pipes and tobacco. It’s interesting, for instance you get to learn more about Steve Fallon and his business operation, his background and all kinds of great info. I for one always love when @pipestud is a guest. He was recently on the Pipe & Tamper. His voice kind of reminds me of a more masculine Don Knots. (That is a compliment by the way, I love Don Knots).

This about sums it up better than anything I could have said. I’ll also add that Brian sounds just like my estranged father so he has become somewhat of a father figure to me over the years, even though he’s probably only 10 years older then me. He’s a lot funnier than my father though, he’s a hoot.

Great now I have to put out a premptive disclaimer that if they ever interview me the sites about to go belly up. Just so everyone knows that's the critical sign of terminality.

That's what I said when Brian interviewed me, ha ha.
see the end is nigh. I better not let them find out about the other things I do. Which "would not include" painting or writing. Man the pressure is really on to be as boring as possible without going full circle (you know so boring it becomes fascinating). Sorry in advance if I don't pull it off. Well at least everyone has been warned.

It brings a fellowship of like minded people together to discuss, show off , and converse about the joys of smoking tobacco out of a pipe .
