It is just tobacco. Buy it and smoke it. .... or don't.It would seem that way, wouldn’t it? The less informed and the more cryptic, the harder it is to see through the smoke to make a decision.

I just look at blend contents. Anthology didn't raise an eyebrow as I've already got many Virginia/Perique blends heavily cellared. It would seem that way, wouldn’t it? The less informed and the more cryptic, the harder it is to see through the smoke to make a decision.
I got a couple tins earlier to add on to my order. I didn't even realize it was out yet until I started looking for stuff to make my shipping free lol.Appears that C & D Anthology is sold out.
So no different than the other 90% of tobacco i buy and don’t need. All special releases are marketing gimmicks to get pipe enthusiasts to buy tobacco they literally don’t need. But that doesn’t mean it’s not worth selling or buying and smoking.

It has been labeled as rarer than a small batch because it will not return again after this run. They said it was not a small batch
I agree c&d has made some great blends in the past 100 percent. The concern is that A few mentioned in earlier discussions that small batch releases are becoming a ploy for sales as opposed to producting something with special leaf. As a buyer on a limited budget, I’m just trying to parse out if this one was what I’ve read from others as sales marketing or if it’s an actual blend I should spend my limited tobacco dollars on. I’m not trying to attack c&d just trying to get info based on things I’ve read from other posts over the last 6 months. The vast majority of the C&D Small Batch or Special releases have been quite good. Not sure the reason for the negative responses. C&D seems to have zero problems selling these small batch releases, they'll survive if you don't buy. I am happy they create special blends that are very good, I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't want that happening. But again, if you think it's all marketing hype, just keep your credit card in your wallet. Really simple.
Yup. Exactly that.I just look at blend contents. Anthology didn't raise an eyebrow as I've already got many Virginia/Perique blends heavily cellared.
I'm guessing you don't know the history of that word.Yup. Exactly that.
I liked what I read, let's just say it PERIQUED my interest! and my cellar ain't that big, with only about 10lbs.
You’re looking too much into this. I wouldn’t even pay attention to its commemorative rarity. Rare tobacco can still not fit your pallet. It has been labeled as rarer than a small batch because it will not return again after this run.
Which word, Embers?I'm guessing you don't know the history of that word.

Unfortunately, this is the case with many things these days. The elephants in the room are the people who buy up limited production tins to flip for a profit. Remember Beanie Babies?
