The tin smell is interesting. It does smell just like hog shit. Has anyone else noticed this? A lot of C&Ds have this aroma, but it seems especially pungent in this one, and the room I dried the tin out in smelled barn-yardy for a few days.
I think mine wasn’t quite as bad as that, but my first tin definitely had a very funky smell to it—not at all what I was expecting. There was almost no sweetness or fruitiness to the smell, only “savory” and very funky. I read a review of it beforehand on tobaccoreviews that described what I smelled perfectly: parmesan cheese. I thought that sounded so strange until I opened my own tin.

Thankfully, it didn’t smoke like the tin note smelled. It was very mellow and a bit sweet. Perhaps I should try a bit of dry time with my tin.

I picked some up yesterday at a local cigar store that has been slowly expanding their pipe tobacco selection. They mostly have Davidoff which I can’t stand, but they had several tins of anthology.

Maybe there’s something wrong with me, but I like it.
