That comment alone proves offense that someone doesn't like a blend you do. You should be enthused, more for you. I was just implying that years ago I may have jumped at Plum Pudding being the next big thing but after smoking so many English blends, Plum Pudding just doesn't stand out.

Might want to check rule 10 while you're at it.
Great now i have to look up rule 10, it’s not assassinate all the Jedi right? Oh that was 66 or 33 or something, must be something with calling people “bro” in a douchey way, which would make rule 11 something to do with saying “okay, boomer”. ?

A pipe smoker walks into a restaurant and orders minced pork shoulder and ham pressed into a block and served in a can...

Numbers pay the bills. Dreams are are why we live. A few years ago when I was still teaching, I asked the students to write an essay about their fantasies. NOT ONE could complete the assignment. The ability to fantasize has been replaced by machine programs and AI that have replaced organic homespun fantasy in our children. I ran this assignment for 37 years. Back in the 80s EVERY child. Oulad whip out a fantasy lickety split. Today, they can only tell me what happens in their games and the story lines that accompany them. The ability to fantasize is fundamental to human existence and problem solving. Turning our fantasy world over to others leaves me thinking that the world of our children has become a bit less, not more. This among other reasons is why I worry about the impact companies such as Meta will diminish society, and not add value.
Nobody plays AD&D anymore. All stuck on phone like us :)

Sorry to be the odd man out but got my first tin of Reserve this month and it is a favorite. Look forward every evening to a bowl. I have a favorite Savinelli and it is all I will put in it. Now maybe being a newbie I don't know what I don't know but an old Master at a prestigious winery once said the best of anything is the thing you like. - IMHO

Somewhere right now, in an exotic and dangerous land, a simple peasant farmer is curing his tobacco leaves from the rafters of his hovel. The acrid smoke from his wife’s cooking fires penetrates the leaf, and bye and bye a foreign buyer will come to pay him for his crop, amid the cacophony of the marketplace and babble of many strange tongues.

Excepting perhaps only Arcadian Perique, genuine Latakia is the most exotic, mysterious, and prized tobacco for pipe smoking.

And it smells like Lucky Seven catfish bait.

I’ve loved the aroma of catfish bait since I was a kid, but many people don’t, especially the ladies.

I love Plum Pudding, but outdoors, and among the company of hairy legged boys that don’t object to it, you know?
A glorious response. Keep writing like this.

I like the original and the bourbon barrel aged very differently. The bourbon flavor in the latter is lovely, but overwhelms the tobacco, so comparing the two is apples and oranges, so to speak. But I do like them both.

The special reserve I would not buy again. It's quite boring compared to the other two.

I need to keep latakia more infrequent, these days, in order to keep enjoying it -- it's one of those things that I can get really excited about on occasion, but can get turned off of if I have too much.

My only criticism of PP is the cavendish content. Years ago, cavendish tasted smooth and sweet to me. Somehow I have changed, and cavendish now tastes strange to me. I still enjoy some cavendish based latakia blends, such as PP and Northwoods, but I do get occasional strange notes from them, and this is probably another reason I don't reach for them as often as I used to.

Now that i've had a few days to mull it over, after a generous member has shared some of his with me ?, Plum Pudding has opened my eyes to the world of english blends.

I can say i'm on the side of enjoying it. Funny after saying that, i think what Embers has said about its novelty being the more relevent than its staying power will be true for me. currently debating on ordering an 8oz tin or 2oz. likely the latter since this doesn't seem to be an all day type for me. and like a great song played too often, it seems to wear out after a bit. a late night bowl seems to be its place for me. will be ordering most of the spc line (really want to get some Hogshead cus jim says it's great haha)
