Sure but look at Sutliff and Mac Baren now. I'm not saying that the never had value, nor that "no one likes them" nor am I saying that they are awful, I am just saying to Bob here that they are obviously not the gold mine he was saying they were.
They certainly have potential and certainly could have been profitable and made up whatever was paid for them.
They could have also sold them off piece by piece.

I'm a bit disappointed, I don't see any votes for Backwoods Red. :LOL: Kidding aside, there's a pretty good chance I would smoke it. I never dove into Sutliff blends (only tried one) so I certainly won't now. Hope you all get a chance to buy the ones you enjoy!

I must be a weirdo because after 15 years of smoking pipe tobacco I've never tried any Sutliff and, I don't even really have an answer as to why.
It ain't just you :) What you neve had, you'll never miss. But there's a couple or three MacBaren brands I really like. But if they go, I'll ignore the subesquent black market on principle and look forward to discovering something else I find I like just as much. After all, one;'s tastes do change over time.
