My bro and I shared a few cars growing up like a chevette with no floor and a 75 Cutlass Supreme, but the first car I officially owned all to myself was a 1981 buick Regal with spoked rims, plush interior and power seats...total pimpmobile. I miss that car.

I was a "sophomore" in high school and my first car was a used 1948 Ford two-door. Shortly after I traded for a 1948 Studebaker (what?). No pics however. That was before cameras.

Celica Supra. Looked like the Celica but had the Supra in line 6. Wound up throwing a piston through the hood doing 187mph in my last street race with it.
The only way you could tell was when you saw my tail lights as I pulled away from the Porsche 911.
Indeed. Smells pretty ripe.
Mine was a 72 Dodge Dart. 125 bucks.

1971 Plymouth Road Runner.
Parents were the original owners/ bought brand new in 71. My brother drove it in the late 80s for about 2 years when he turned 16 and then handed it down to me. That car ran like a champ and never gave me a bit of trouble. The only thing we ever had to have fixed on it in 31 years was the radiator.
Mom ended up selling it while I was stationed in Japan to a guy for $250. I didnt know until two years later when I returned in 2004. Lesson learned: next time transfer the title before you go overseas. :(

+1 to what joe912 said about cars in Alaska. My Passat does just fine if you do your part. Of course, the argument of "only X car is worth a damn" is a lot like people that say "you should only use a gauge for home protection" ....
Now, for the question in the OP, my first set of wheels was a 85 Olds Delta 88 Royale. Not an actual picture, that is somewhere around here and not in digital format, but this is one like it, same color

Didn't the 71 Roadrunner have the flip-up air scoop? My friend's dad had one and even at 6 years old I thought it was the coolest thing on the road.

My first vehicle was a Chevy S10 five speed. No air, cheap stereo. I loved that truck. Too bad they quit making them as I am in need of a new vehicle.

1970 Chevy Nova. Straight 6. Color was Gobi Beige which was a creamy, light, yellow. Most dependable car I ever owned, and would buy another one in a second.
