What kind of bike you got? My first car was a motorbike, an 83 Suzuki GS300L. Biggest bike I could talk my mom into. Rode it for three years, rain, snow or shine. I want a Triumph Bonneville. But I have been putting the top down on the Miata!

Worked 1/2 a day, drove over and picked up my 8 ft butcher block 1 1/2" thick work bench top that is going in the garage one of these days, Sears had them on sale for 110.00. Took some parts back to Jamie McMurray's Dad that I borrowed from Jamie at Daytona last month. Took a nice 2 hour nap when I got home. Cooked out a big-ass burger on the grill.

Simnett, I ride a Triumph America. I love it! 100% paid for too! They still make the old style Bonnie, now with a bigger motor and way more reliable and less leaky than the old ones.

Worked on my sermon, preaching on Sunday. Now I'm drinking a cup of hot Earl Grey, eating a box of thin ginger cookies and about to light up something tasty in my new Aldo Velani from batdemon.

Removed the motor on my kart so that I can take it to get rebuilt tomorrow. Fired up the shifter kart motor for the first time since I bought it. It took a little starting fluid down the carb to get it going. It has a Hona 125cc motocross engine on it. Should be good for 120 mph at Virginia International Raceway in April running the full length 4.3 mile long course.

I have always heard that those goat carts are a lot of fun...

But I didn't realize they would go that fast.

Just kidding ( :D ) Hobie, they run those carts at Talledega Motor Speedway near here as well.

They are really fast.

I like to watch them. But, I think the above is more my speed.

@baron: A Triumph America! You dog! That is what a bike is supposed to look like. I like having a passenger seat, too. And an 865cc engine is about the perfect size for me. I don't want a bike I can't pick up if I lay it down. Gorgeous bike, mate. $10,000 dollars says yours is black. Here's a custom Bonneville I'd die for:

i just found this thread by searching for sasieni pipes

'cause i saw a video of the pipephreaks showing off a 1930's display case full of the original sasieni pipes

these guys are informative and interesting

since i found nothing about them on a search - i think i will start a new thread about them
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7C4d_gFePc&feature=channel
looks like that should be in a museum
on their comments they talk about a web site that they started but the link goes to a web site that looks abandonded
while i was watching that video - and now - i am smoking the second bowl in my new pipe - the first one i bought since starting with a cheap no name pipe about 18 months ago
man this pipe smokes much better - it is an unfinished savenelli dublin
i decided i like unfinished pipes a lot - i thought they needed a finish on them - i didn't know that they would get darker as you smoke if you don't
these pics may not show for some people because i have to use a nonstandard port for my web server at home

the blue lights are my saitek joystick behind the paper
before smoking

Anyone do something exciting over the weekend? I swapped speakers around in the garage only to find out that the KEF Q75 speakers I put as the rear speakers have problems...one speaker was knocked off the stand by my cat who tried to get up on it, and when it fell, it ruined both the woofer and the UniQ coaxially mounted tweeter. Replacements are not readily available.

Went to the Charlotte Headphone Festival and Vinyl Show today. Listened to headphones all the way up to 5K, but still liked my Beyer Dynamic DT990 Pro models the best that I compared them to.
Bought about 30 records, 25 of them for 1.00 apiece, and one for 90.00 8O

I played the song True Colors on guitar for my wife. She couldn't believe I would learn that song. I sing it somewhat more baritone than Cyndi, though. haha.
