Well last night I had to drag some blankets and pillows across the street to the house we're renovating and sleep on the floor on a futon mattress since the power went out at the house we're in. Transformer caught on fire and they didn't get it working until after I had dragged my CPAP machine across the street to the house with power and fell asleep. Fun day having cops come by and the fire department to put out the fire and then having the power company fix it and have it go out two hours later only to come back at around 9pm and work on it for two hours and finally fix it.

One busy day for me.

Started by dropping my truck off for a set of new tires. Popped into the office, then had a meeting at 9:50am at my grandmothers rest-home to discuss changes to her medication/physical therapy programs. About to head out to pick-up my truck, then off to a business meeting for 1:00pm. Back to the 'burbs for a dentist appointment at 3:30pm; then finally, load-up the truck so I can head off camping tomorrow after work.

Somewhere in there, I need to find time to bang off a rib rub, a couple litres of pancake batter, and a salmon marinade.
All worth it though, two boxes arrived in the mail today to fulfill my TAD/PAD needs!

@hobie1dog I don't have a video camera, I'm afraid. Otherwise that would totally happen.
Today, I sat in the sun, read a book, and smoked several bowls. It was wonderful.

What's everyone been doing lately?
I installed 99 1/2" plastic plugs in the concrete floor of the garage where I had to drill the holes for the termite treatment last week, then used a cleaner and mopped/scrubbed the garage floor to get all the crap that had accumulated the past 5 years on the epoxy coating. Then helped my son install one of his new Obsidian 12" woofers in my daughters Acura TL so it would be ready for her return from vacation in Bora Bora. :)

I got a new set of Zebra wood fenders for my touring bike so I installed them after battling the silly flooding rain. When did Chicago become Portland?

Yesterday I played the championship game in the Memorial Day weekend ice hockey tournament I was invited to. Our team tied Friday, lost Saturday, won big 8-3 Sunday morning which headed us into the championship round. We won the championship game 6-3 against the only team to beat us in the tourney. The team had a blast drinking the cheap champagne the tournament gaves us for winning out of the cup trophy they also gave us. Afterwards we headed up to the bar to have some lunch and drink some beer out of the cup. Had a great Memorial Day weekend and I will definitely have a celebratory pipe this evening. Maybe some Connoisseur's Choice or Sunset Breeze with a first go round of Jim Beam's Red Stag.

I pulled my cucumbers plants out of the ground today, picked some tomatoes and eggplants. Smoked my pipe on the lanai while reading.

Just got back from moving my daughter out to Glen Rock, PA. What a trip, my first time out there, great scenery and nice part of the country out there on the East coast area. Missing my little girl though!

Worked on my sons A/C system in his Honda CRX...replaced the faulty high pressure relief valve on the back of the compressor, then shot it back up with 300 lbs of pressure with a Nitrogen bottle and then discovered another leak in the condenser coil.
Showed my Cannondale to a potential buyer...there was a couple of scratches he found on it and the tits were worn off on the back tires, so it may not have been "new" enough for him to add to his museum collection.

Returned today from Lake Erie after two days of some awsome Walleye fishing. Just packed up some tobaccos and pipes for my trip to Ontario Canada to spend six nights with three other buddies on a secluded lake with one cabin and some fantastic Northern and Smallmouth bass fishing...Looking foward to lighting up a bowl of Kendal Flake on the dock at sunset listening to the Loons...Im relaxed already...

I stopped by PipesandCigars.com today near Albany NY. I had purchased a Peterson Aran from their website a few weeks ago and discovered their Habanna Cigar Shop/Internet Warehouse is located near where I stay in Albany.

Two nice young men were working the store and both seemed pretty knowledgable. They helped me pick out some blends. I tried:

Anniversary Kake: a very nice, mild blend that smoked real smooth

LA Red: A spicier blend, with some Oriental. Also smoked nice with a little kick

Berry Nice: wife likes the aromatics, haven't smoke this one yet.
They had literally every pipe from their website and I checked out a:

- Peterson Aran Sitter

http://www.pipesandcigars.com/pearpib1vosi.html

- Winslow Crown

http://www.pipesandcigars.com/wicr3piropas.html

I was also able to see in person some of the more expensive Peterson's (Sherlock Holmes, etc.) I wasn't real impressed with the $150 Winslow, but it probably smokes nice. The hand-carved Peterson freehands are beautiful, but ouch, costly. For my money, I'll probably pick up another Boswell, my current smokes like a dream and I like the beefy feel (actually less money).
They do host a "Pipe Club" night on the 1st Wednesday of the month and had a nice smoking lounge. I'll definitely schedule my travel around that event. Anyone here attend?
I'm up here at least quarterly and will be sure to drop back in.

Yesterday I cleaned a bit in both the house and shop. Today depending on the level of back Pain I will probably do more of the same.
