Careful that thing looks loaded like a rifle! Are those among the stronger LFF blends? I learned to tread lightly with them years ago after a young double ligero laid me out.
Supposedly, it's the same blend as their Air Bender line, just a 6x52 box press. Normally, I'd say the Air Benders are up there with the Double Ligeros in terms of strength, but this one seemed a bit less strong than the regular Air Benders I've had. Still a medium-full cigar, with a decent amount of strength. It was very good.

Did you have aged DLs? I've only had fairly young ones, maybe 2 years old at most, but have always thought they'd age real well.

I have. Had some ligero flower bands in the last year that were very good, toned down in strength, and confirmed to me that they're worth aging. I've had a couple OR Cameroon Cabinet as well that inspired me to get a couple boxes of the #3 to set back for a few years. They're already good now, but I can see age treated them well. They're purportedly Litto Gomez's daily smoke.

Would go well with an Irish car bomb: into a shot glass, mix Irish cream and Irish whiskey 50/50, drop the whole shot (glass and all) into a pint of Irish Stout and drink the thing as fast as you can. Sort of like an alcoholic milk shake.

I always liked old flower bands. The newer bands aren't bad, but the big, pink flower was a distinct look.

Now smoking an Aladino Corojo Reserva Corona.

BTW, here is a picture of those old, flower bands for those who hadn't seen them. They're pretty rad, IMO. They should bring them back!

LFD Double Ligero will lay you out if not respected. I liked full body, but full bodied cigars can be a little much, especially this one, so strong that to me it was unpleasant.

The Irish Car Bomb: What a great way to get fucked up!

I am really impressed with this cigar! So much flavor for a Connecticut! Wow!
I meant to try that one at my local shop, but they sold out of them before I could and haven't restocked them yet. May just get a 5er. Theyre, good, eh? I like most of the Casa Fernandez/Aganorsa stuff. I think the only Connecticut Shade (Ecuadorian) wrapped cigar I've had that they make is the Illusione Rothschild CT, which I found to be nice and flavorful, too.

How was it? When those first came out, a lot of guys were raving about it, even some of the grizzled old guys who prefer their stronger, fuller-bodied Nicaraguans. I've had the Orange version, which was a pretty solid smoke for the price, but never t that one.
