I'll be damned. I didn't know Orlando El Duque Hernandez had a cigar line. I always admired the guy as a baseball player. As a pitcher, El Duque certainly threw a lot of el Dookie, but he made it work for him and had a solid career.Wonderful afternoon Cigar, El Duke Hernandez 26. And I’m not even a baseball fan. This is a great cigar. Creamy, mild strength, medium body. Lots of smooth mellow flavors. My inexperienced palate says nuts and cream, light cedar, not a lot of pepper or spice. Great with ginger beer, ice and Foursquare spiced rumView attachment 71778
Tried a nitro cold brew from Starsucks last week. It was mediocre... if I'm being generous.I'll be damned. I didn't know Orlando El Duque Hernandez had a cigar line. Now smoking an Illusione Ultra Op No. 8 with a bit of nitro cold brew coffee from Starbucks. The cigar is good, the coffee is mediocre and cost like $4+ at the gas station

I don't care what anyone says, an 8-5-8 always delivers. To quote a certain member..."Cigar Time"...
You can find good deals on them from Cbid ?It was a great after work decompression smoke. I had to cut it slightly short because Mrs. jaytex was ready for dinner.
Strength was perfect. Just feeling a bit of nic at about 2/3. Incredibly strong wrap. The draw was perfect with a punch but I actually had to work at it to pop the ash off.
I will definitely revisit that maker.

It is one of my favorite maduros. I don't know quite how to articulate it, but it really does just have a wonderful ripeness to the flavor profile. That it's medium in body and strength, at most IMO, just means it's a great choice for nearly any cigar smoker. It might be one of the few cigars that I prefer the Maduro version over the "natural," though the Sungrown is real nice too, and the regular Cameroon is more than decent.I don't care what anyone says, an 8-5-8 always delivers.
8-5-8's were my go to in the early 1990's. I preferred the naturals. It is one of my favorite maduros. Try the Maduro if you get the chance. Admittedly, I have not had one in years, but they were always a fantastic bargain.Hoyo Excalibur. Creamy almond smoke with a citrus flavor and light cedar aftertaste. Great cigar.
