Too busy since Thursday to have any tobacco at all, so I had myself a Padron 1964 to finish off the weekend.
Warped Bits of Havana, in name only. Not a bad cigar but I don't taste a lot of Havana.
Not even enough of a cigar guy to be considered a novice but is that from 1964? Sorry if this is the dumbest question ever.
Had a nice lil stogie time on the job today as the sun was waning. Pulled out a camp chair and finished off my water with a local Tabanero Edicion Limitada from Ybor City. This is my favorite of their offerings. Great Nicaraguan tobacco here.
I used to believe that there was no such thing as a stupid question, but then I taught 7th graders. One of them asked, “What do I write on the line that says ‘Name’?”
However, cigars are a different story, and I’ve had about a billion questions myself. Always happy to share what little knowledge I have!
I’m sure that there are some people who have cigars from 1964, but I’m not fortunate/rich enough to be friends with them
The Padron company began in 1964, and in 1994 they began a new line of cigars named “1964 Anniversary” to celebrate the company’s 30th anniversary. It’s a very successful line and is still being made; I’m sure that this particular cigar was very recent.
It’s a good cigar. It has a good flavor which is always consistent, and nice, solid construction. I wanted a cigar which wouldn’t make me guess or wonder what I’d be getting: with the 1964, I know in advance that I’ll get a consistent, pleasant flavor every time.

What were storage conditions for that cigar? Bought and smoked fresh from the store humidor, or has it been in your possession for months? Could be high humidity.
17 mile kayak down the Connecticut River over two days. Was able to get a couple sticks in including this Perdomo Lot 23 which was OK. Smoked a Crowned Heads Four Kicks Capa Especial shortly after this and it blew the Perdomo out of the water, pun intended!

Had a Fuente Mag 44 Rosado after the work was done today. All wrapped up on site. Fun day tomorrow then a return trip to Washington until October.
I am smoking a Jorge Gran Habana (7x60).
Had it for a couple days, no problem with others in my humidor.
Is that the Jorge that comes wrapped in newspaper rather than cellophane?
