That is a beautiful wrapper. Haven't had many sticks from the 90s (was before I got into cigars), but those were some notable strains of tobacco.
You said well, "those were" ... Unfortunately, even if kept protected from oxidation, with all the holy rules, and although the brand lends itself a lot to aging, I won't tell you lying that it was a memorable smoke. The fruition curve has its inexorable march, and I realize that the more time passes, the more the inches get longer with aromas of an old drawer. It does not depend, as some say, on the quantity of Ligero, for example LGC has very little or does not even have it and it ages very well, but 30 years is a long time .. There is the rise, the peak, and the descent, you have to grasp cherries when ripe. :)

You're entirely right. I've got my pet boxes I'm aging, but I check in on them and when they're smoking good, I blow through them. I might save a couple for a few years, but after you've had a cigar that was past its prime, you never want to go there again.

El Gueguense, The Wise Man from Foundation Cigar Co. I have gone through my fair share of these and have had them in my humidor since release to my best recollection. I like both the San Andres and the Corojo 99 wrappers. This in the Corona Gorda vitola Corojo 99. I also really like the artwork on the band.

Have one in the humidor, just waiting…. How’s it?
Very good, and complex. I need to smoke a couple more I think before I could do it justice. It was a good experience, but outside the standard categories I can express as a newby. It was a gift from a more experienced smoker whose advice was to take my time with it. I would agree. Smoke it when you can focus 100% on the cigar.

Now smoking an EP Carillo New Wave Connecticut with a Voodoo Ranger Juicy Haze IPA
