Silent Witness. Oh my word! Started about nine months ago, with season 24, filmed in 2021. Now about to start watching S 28, released in first few months this year. A new season is also in the works.

It's damn good, but I intersperse something else, currently Ridley (5/5, PBS Passport) as I have a limit on how my autopsies I can stomach. My GF could binge watch all 200++ episodes. She 5/5, me 4.5/5, BritBox.

A couple of seasons into Boardwalk Empire.

Decent writing, acting and dialogue. Great production values. Overall none of the characters has really drawn me in to root for or against them. 3.5/5

Rewatching "An Evening With Ray Bradbury" on YouTube. In it Mr. Bradbury addresses a group of aspiring writhers at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, California. He was 80-years-old at the time and he spoke for almost an hour - without notes. The inspiring thing is that the passion that drove this man throughout his writing life was still there and burning brightly for all to see and to light their own candles from.

I rate this a solid six in my book!

Just finished bingeing Blue Eye Samurai on Netflix again. Netflix has brought some excellent anime (and some not so excellent) to their service. Some of my favorites are Castlevania (boy, did I like that one a lot more than I expected to) and Arcane.

BES is a standout, even in that company. If you like anime, this is the best there is. If you don’t this may change your mind. NSFK. 5/5

Last night I watched 1984 on DVD, the first time I've seen this version since it was released.

Starring John Hurt & Richard Burton (just months afore his death) I wasn't overly impressed. The book was far more revealing though Suzanna Hamilton as John Hurt's love interest Julia was pretty revealing albeit in a different way

2.5/5 from this occasional film watcher.

We just saw Gladiator 2, and it was… just OK. A fan of the first one, but as most sequels go, this was not nearly as good. Long (2hrs 45mins), but it was entertaining. 3-5
