Yeah, I thought McGregor was one of the few redeeming qualities of the “newer” Star Wars films. However, I’ll always think of him relieving himself on the worst ? in Scotland. ?☕
Yeah, I saw the first Star Wars movie in 1978 when I was 4 and LOVED the original trilogy. The prequels were varying degrees of terrible but like you said Ewan McGregor was one if the redeeming features.
And don't get me started on all the terrible Disney Star Wars films?. The only one I really liked was Rogue One and the main reason for that was because of Vader going beast mode at the end.

The Disney+ live action Star Wars are a different story as I've enjoyed both The Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett. Jon Favreau has done a great job with both series.

Ha, missed your post! I just finished season 5. Wish they didn't get rid of Julia Stiles as I found her relationship with Dexter quite interesting.

Have you watched Six Feet Under? I think that is one of the best shows ever made, only finished it a few weeks ago.
Six Feet Under is absolute class and has one of the best endings which is always a bonus.

Child of ‘74 as well. Yeah, and anytime Vader gets to go beast mode…mark me down. ?☕

About all I watch on regular TV is "Young Sheldon)" which I give a 4/5 rating and Ghosts which for some strange reason I am watching which I generously give a 3/5 rating.
Hell, Cowboy Bebop on YouTube is better than both of these.

Finally watched The Eternals on Disney+

Admittedly I didn't go into it with high expectations but I'm a huge Marvel fan and enjoy the MCU films so I thought I'd give it a shot. Unsurprisingly, it was hot garbage and left me utterly disappointed. It would have been more entertaining to watch insects crawl around growing grass. [1/5*]

Korean drama called "Our Beloved Summer". They just uploaded the last episode on Netflix today. Rather cute show. Enjoyed it. The actual title's direct translation is "That Year, We We're", so I have no clue who came up with that crappy English title. Show's aimed for more younger crowd, but some of us can still be young at heart. 5/5.

We started watching Beforiegner on HBOMax this week. This is my second series set in Norway that we've enjoyed. The premise is that there are these people from Prehistoric, Viking, and 18th century showing up in the harbors. So, Norway is integrating them into society through their usual bureaucratic methods.
There are these two detectives, one from this time, and a Viking woman, shield maiden, that are solving some murders of these newcomers. Very interesting and the overdubbing into English is forgivable.

My favorite part is when an 18th century man is showing the detective how to light a pipe and enjoy it with a drink. Also, I crack up because they always show the stupid cave men smoking Missouri Meerschaums, which is exactly who I think they should be marketed too, ha ha.

Anyways, I am thoroughly enjoying the show. Good stuff!! 5/5... and I don't give 5's often. Pipesmokers and nonsmokers alike should enjoy it.

I recently watched The last Duel (HBO). If you like long-ass Medieval France Lancing movies, then you’re in luck. At 2:30+ hrs my ADD usually kicks in, but I was able to finish it. Damon, Affleck, Driver, and Comer did a good job, and it’s based on a true story from three separate perspectives, which I liked, but it was looooong, and sometimes boring. 3/5

Recently watched the Swedish mini-series Anxious People (2021) on Netflix. The dubbing in English is done well, it wasn't distracting. I rate it 3/5.

A bank robber holds the visitors of an open house hostage and then promptly vanishes, leaving the police baffled — and suspicious of everyone.

I think Disney totally missed the point of what this was supposed to be about. It was a "do we serve humans or our maker?" They tried to make it a regular super hero thing, and it sucked.
