Looks good 👍
I've made a hand carved wooden spoon 🥄 today.
I'd like to get in touch with Wilson's of Sharrow to see if I can learn how to make some clay pipes:)
Thank you and gratulations, I have yet to make my own spoon. Or really anything carved.
For making your own clay pipes you'd need proper molds and a proper oven, it's probably rather expensive.
But nonetheless I encourage you to get into that. I'd buy some!
Speaking of the devil:

On topic:
Here's my old clay that's only a good year old but already broken in a couple of two ways, with the new hemp twine bind and hopefully as strong as ever. This camera angle doesn't do much for the new bind
but the feather will stay on, I insist on that! There even may be replacements or additional ones,
but for this broken and beautiful pipe the feather style will stay!

And it will be smoked with my own concoctions, for now the same old random brick of alchemy.
Burley leaf in the background.

@Chaukisch Thanks 👍 for the kind words. Going to smoke another clay pipe of Condor Ready Rubbed now.
Your pipe and leaf look good 👍; looks like the clay king 👑 is getting some competition:)
My Redcoat and clay pipe were a big hit in Nottingham!

Don't you worry now, this humble stumblebum is happy to stumble around the docks with a glassen tankard of strong brew and a broke clayen pipe, thoroughly seeking for the next fill of vessel and heavy load of ship.
If I had any spare cockles or mussels I'd yell "alive, alive, oh!". But no, I tend to just ramble and puff on.
As a good bum does. 😁
No need for me to stumble up that hill and castle, no need for you to worry.
Just happy little clouds puffed up by the low and high like. puffy

@Chaukisch I love the braiding on your clay:)
Looks like some delicious leaf as well - and what better to smoke it in than a clay pipe!!!
A shame we can't get together for a few beers and bowls; I think we'd get on really well 👍...

Thanks but meh, it can always be better. I'm still too hung up on too much prestige and finesse when it comes to pipes and their visuals although I could never afford the big stuff.
Just look a those incredible pieces that some of our good brothers share on this forum,
like @Chasing Embers Meerschaum skull pipe with tricorne hat.
I'd love but don't have a goddamn tricorne hat... But his pipe does! :ROFLMAO:

My thoughts exactly. The UK and Northern Germany has a lot of combined history and nowadays this little strip of water just isn't big enough to provide a decent barrier. And I always wanted to visit the UK and have a proper English breakfast. Maybe one of these days I'll get a little nutshell together and paddle across. ;)
But until then: Jolly smokes from across the pond!

Don't wanna waste good space so here's the same clay from the other side, open knot because it really helps with balance and will open up anyway. Also good for a little tingle on the old fingers. :col:
But everything grips and feels real good in general. Very recommendable!

Drying a @Chasing Embers concoction of 1 part Lane 1Q, 1 part Esoterica Penzance on a paper towel (very humid today). My curiosity got the better of me, so here goes. My two attempts to name this blend (assuming I even have the privilege of doing so) fared about as well as the Washington Generals against the Harlem Globetrotters each night. Best I could muster was "Chasing Penbers" or worse yet, "2Q." I should really stick to my forte, which is...basically anything except naming blends. A shout out to @TheIronMonkey for the clearly superior title, "Modern Major General." Using my SMS claw meer, which couldn't be more apropos, I think.

Bird report: California scrub-jay, Steller's jay, California towhee, California quail, House finch, Hairy woodpecker, White-breasted nuthatch, Oak titmouse, Mountain chickadee, Common raven, Red-tailed hawk, Northern flicker, and Band-tailed pigeon. Last week of summer, and I need to throw a flannel on...that's a good sign!

Happy smokes everyone!
