Late night bowl of KBV Notorious - a delightfully cool Lat bomb with a toasty burley lead in - smoking it in this Doctor's sandblasted brandy:
Very close to the mountain lion dimensions. This pipe has @Chasing Embers worthy proportions, with a 3.25" chamber depth and 11.75" overall length. Here it is next to a Savinelli 320 KS to give a sense of scale.
That last picture looks like the straight grain is flame shooting up the side of the bowl from the birdseye, neat effect and great that you see that while clenching.McClelland Syrian Super Balkan in a new to me Castello KK 𝝅

You could try some beeswax on the tenon, maybe a couple coats over time so the mortise soaks it up. That might give you a better seal. Finally got a load of cleaners and decided to revisit my first pipe. A 25€ Capitello that likes to get hot and leak moisture between wood and vulcanite but works just fine otherwise. I don't smoke it much but think it's a beauty. Gonna enjoy some Burley and Kentucky with just a sprinkle of Turkish in it.
