Catching up on another 20-25 pages of this thread with some 2020 that's actually enjoyable. McC No.2020 "Matured Cake" in this Doctor's Crazy Bent Bamboozled Pot:
Mac Baren Mixture Scottish in a GiGi sandblasted apple with cumberland stem. I really like this pipe. It's the only pipe I have dedicated to a blend, so only Mixture Scottish gets smoked in this pipe. Really enjoyable on a cool morning.
With all the talk about SG (good and bad) I decided to dig out a jar of St James Flake from 2013. The flakes were from a 250g box and were very thin, almost Stonehaven thin. The jar smell was all prunes and figs. It’s been a long time since I have smoked SJF, but this is definitely one their best blends. Easy to pack and smoke too. I may pick up a few new tins for comparison.
Finally got the clog out of my Peterson deluxe 20s pipe, which had been out of commission for a long time due to the clog. So, fired up some Bayou Morning in it. Has the best graining of any of my pipes outside of an old Ben Wade freehand.
And last, but not least, in the recently ordered sampler, is the Comoy’s Cask #4. Starting the day with a bowl of this good smelling tobacco in the Mark Twain.
Just finishing this bowl of circa year 2000 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style.
