Relaxing after a wonderful salad, rainbow trout, and green peas dinner with Dutch chocolate ice cream for dessert. I'm close to finishing this bowl of Prince Albert in a medium bend black sandblasted IPSD 2016 Mark Tinsky book keeper 5 with a square shank and a black acrylic saddle stem with a cream colored accent. Been packing up "hate mail" for an unsuspecting friend.

And? Good so far?
It was only my first go but my assessment thus far is that, though the tin note is reminiscent of wet hay on a cattle farm, none of that essence translates to the smoke which is rich and creamy in feel, full in body, and very high in nicotine. I'm a big fan of HH Bold Kentucky and ODF, Irish Flake, OJK, Haunted Bookshop and other strong blends but I had to put this down mid bowl and take a break. The flavor was unexpectedly mild and overall the smoke was very smooth - the word 'round' kept coming to mind as I thought of how to describe it. About midway through the bowl and before I put it down for a break, I started to pick up a feint background sweetness that I didn't detect again until after smoking the second half for a while and only towards the end of the bowl. It didn't bite even in the least bit. I'm looking forward to getting to know Rustica better and forming a more solid opinion. For now, I'd place ODF ahead of this in terms of flavor as I think ODF has a bit more nuance and depth.

By chance, are any of you having issues with this site running extremely slow on your phone? It can take up to 30 seconds from the time I click the thumbs up icon to it actually submitting the thumbs up. Pages take forever to load, and reply posts are taking a long time for the text I am quoting to appear, basically this sight has significantly slowed down as of late. I’ve cleared my chache and cookies, restarted my phone and still this site is painfully slow. Maybe it just has something to do with the software used for this forum as I have run into this problem on other forums where it appears that they are using the same platform as this site or maybe it’s the browser I’m using? I’ll have to try another browser but I’m a huge fan of Chrome so that would be really inconvenient. In short, it’s starting to drive me away from this forum, it can be like pulling teeth just to like someone’s post or just simply responding to a post. I’m hoping it’s just a hiccup and things will get better soon. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this?

Enjoying a bowl of Sutliff Elizabethan Match. I’m not sure if I’m just getting old, but lately I’ve been enjoying this (and 515 RC) no fuss, easy packing, easy smoking and consistent from bowl to bowl. I have spent years smoking/chasing the more exotic blends, fighting with flakes, drying blends for hours etc. if someone told me a few years ago I would be cellaring and smoking Sutliff bulk blends I would have laughed at them. Maybe it’s just a phase after all these years of smoking, but when I grabbed one of my unsmoked Dunhills and decided to dedicate it to 515 RC, I knew something was up. Maybe those codgers were right about smoking simple, no fuss easy-going blends.
