Dunhill Durbar, a discontinued Virginia based English blend, in a Luciano straight blast saddle-stem billiard that SP brought to the TAPS pipe show on spec to save me shipping, and which I promptly bought, a great pipe at a fine price. The last bit of Durbar in the tin isn't a bowl worth, so I mixed in some cigar leaf and will try that perhaps tomorrow. I never jarred the Durbar, and it has only gotten better bowl after bowl, full-flavored, refined, sophisticated in the best sense. "For the experienced smoker," that would be me such as I am. If you spot a tin of Durbar collecting dust at your pipe shop, I say buy it.

While I was away, I smoked:
The last of my stash of Ken Byron Ventures Red Forest Phenomenon in a 1980s White Pipe straight, smooth octagonal paneled billiard meerschaum with an acrylic yellow cream colored saddle stem.

Year 2016 Robert McConnell Scottish Cake in a 2002 black pebble finish straight Cavicchi C. Fatto A Mano Billiard and a black acrylic tapered stem.

D&R VIP in a 2004 smooth long shank lumberman Trever Talbot Ligne Bretagne Faite en Bretagne 4/3 with a black vulcanite tapered stem.

And now I'm a quarter of the way through this bowl of Sutliff Prince Andrew in a 1980s straight smooth Big Ben pot with a nickel band and a black vulcanite saddle stem. Time to do my last set of walking reps.
