Close to finishing this bowl of circa year 2000 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style.

I'm enjoying some GLP Westminster from a Pete XL90, and it's tasty as always.

I've been trying out some of these different packing methods after using the "cram it in the cram hole" method for years. I'm really enjoying the Frank method, and it doesn't actually take much longer. The descriptions just looked complicated.

Just finished a bowl of SG St James Flake from 2013. It was outstanding and definitely mellowed out a little after all these years. The spicy high note of the Perique is less noticeable and the blend is more balanced then when it was fresh. Besides almost being jet black, these flakes are very thin. I compared them to Stonehaven from that time, and these are just as thin and pliable. The newer St James seems to be a much thicker cut ( from the pictures I have seen). I have a few tins on order out of curiosity.
