Since it is Meer Monday, I thought I would have a bowlful of Low Country Pee Dee in this Tekin Meer. Had some sparkling water to sip on. It was a rainy, wet day and the ponies are in the barn.

Kewpie Doll of the Day for you, my friend . . . . for a multitude of reasons . . . and yeah, that's a beautiful meer for Meer Monday!! 🙃 👍👍

You're a very clever man! :ROFLMAO:

Change? What change? Back in the 1960s when I was in highschool and university, everybody walked around looking like some of these pipes. Either that, or heavy grease, sleaze and past high thigh skirts . . . . Don't see much change at all!

In fairness, there are soooo many beautiful pipes on display in this thread, that . . . . . oh, forget it. I've got to get hold of my neurosis . . . . . as a former greaseball myself (yeah, really - kind of a feisty google eyed John Travolta . . . . . maybe I'll go away now for a while . . . . having trubble relating to all of this now . . . . 🤓. . . . even subscribed to National Lampoon . . . .

I'll be back to norbal next post. :ROFLMAO:
That's ok Gord, just a friendly way to bust your chops a bit. We all have our preferences. I've noticed the Danes, or some of them, consider black to be the only acceptable color for a mouthpiece. That's fine, I tend to like color but I understand why someone would prefer only black. I think a big reason you don't see many colors in older pieces is it just wasn't available in Ebonite other than Cumberland years ago. Black is good, a nice classic in my opinion is black on black.

Meerschaum Mondays or not, this Nate King meerschaum prince is my go-to daily driver, just the right bowl size for my smokes and deliciously transparent. Tonight I'm burning a 50/50 mixtures of SG's St James Flake and McConnell's Mature I find the different virginias, orientals, and perique work really well together -

Thank you, time to go color!

I'll try to take a more recent photo of my pipe but I've been puffing away on this thing for 5 years now and it's just not picking up that much color!

I must've missed the memo about Meerschaum Monday but I'm trying out some new to me Cornell and Diehl Bijou in my Savinelli Trevi Prince, a veritable Virginia machine. It's quite nice, reminds me of Sun Bear a little and it's available year round. Watching the Cavs vs the Pistons while I do so. Not a bad start to the week if I say so.

Broke out a couple of old favorites this evening. I'm freight training Pirate Kake with three years on it in a Briarworks C111 Bullmoose/Rhodesian with a tortoise shell stem. The Kake is as smooth as a gravy sandwich in the little Rhodesian. Soft and smokey with hints of sweetness from the Latakia and Orientals, and volumes of smoke from the Burley. Lovely Fall weather here. We had some snow on the local mountains last weekend and might have the first freeze of the season tomorrow night. It's dusk here and the neighbor's black cat just sauntered by. Fitting for the time of year, I suppose.

I hope you are having an enjoyable evening, wherever you are.

Oh, I'm used to having my chops busted, Briarman. Frankly, I ask for it some times lol. Always have!

Will tell you that your explanation of the color scheme as described makes perfect sense. and thank you for it.

I revel in the Scandinavian preference for black - they're, like me, conservative in so many ways, and they make the best (along with the Americans - wouldn't want to live without C&D) tobaccos in the world - inordinately fond of Borkum Riff and Lane Ltd products. Sibelius is one of my favourite composers, and Wagner based most of what he wrote on Norse Legends.

'Tis a wonderful world we live in, eh? :col:

Uh . . . sometimes . . . cray but let's not go there. Mods, you know!

Marvelous Monday Meer, Mark! (A quadri-fecta of M's?)
Love the butterscotch/amber stem as well. In fact, I admire all the bright, colorful stems I've been seeing lately ... 😻
Wow, Tim..... What an apt application of alliteration artistry in your comment!!!

Thanks for the compliment on the meer. Now that you have brought "butterscotch" into the play, I may have to exercise great self-control not to take a bite out of it...... I love me some butterscotch!!
