Almost a third of the way through this bowl of Wilke Lizzie Blood Virginia in a straight black with a burgundy undertone sandblasted early 1960s Lane era Charatan 420 billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Harry the Hairy finally got out of hiding, and came in to eat and get attention.

Listing this a few minutes early: year 2022 Solani 633 in a straight smooth brown Algerian briar post-WW2-mid 50s family era Barling’s Make Ye Olde Wood Straight Grain Made in England bulldog with a diamond shape shank and black ebonite stem. This pipe came from the estate of David Cuneo. Just brought Molly Danger to the den after hearing her crying for attention. Dunno why she just didn't come to us, but she's here now on m'lady's chair with Sleepy Suzy.

Gord, we're in the 21st century now. You've gotta embrace change..... :ROFLMAO:

Change? What change? Back in the 1960s when I was in highschool and university, everybody walked around looking like some of these pipes. Either that, or heavy grease, sleaze and past high thigh skirts . . . . Don't see much change at all!

In fairness, there are soooo many beautiful pipes on display in this thread, that . . . . . oh, forget it. I've got to get hold of my neurosis . . . . . as a former greaseball myself (yeah, really - kind of a feisty google eyed John Travolta . . . . . maybe I'll go away now for a while . . . . having trubble relating to all of this now . . . . 🤓. . . . even subscribed to National Lampoon . . . .

I'll be back to norbal next post. :ROFLMAO:

Cob, Burley and Black Coffee. Absolutely wonderful smoke. Gonna start my morning this way for the next long while.

At this point, gonna give you guys all a Gord Break for a bit :ROFLMAO: Y'all probably need it. All that fishing did me in.

PS - Yah, that's a yellow stem. Traditional, or a case of the pot calling the kettle black? Only the Shadow knows for sure.

Sutliff 507-C in the Barontini 1/2 spigot bent billiard with 9mm filter which I packed yesterday but didn't smoke until this afternoon. The tobacco had dried out and emitted its full flavor throughout. My Bic ran out of fuel so I popped the top and removed the flint and spring for future use. The flints are twice as long and gold colored. I switched to the Zippo and it really is a much better lighter for a pipe than the Bic even though Bics are handier. I would guess the striking wheel could be used on a zippo too although I haven't ever needed to replace one. The zippo is a 1983 green miltary style with cotton/copper wick.
