Yeah, thanks man. No respirator or headlamp required either. That pic made me snort my drinkThis pipe always looks so relaxed - and what a fine finish!

Beautiful. I love seeing DIY (amateur?) homemade pipes. So glad to hear it smokes well. Although much simpler, my little dowel-based pipe actually smokes really well. Question about the stem: I assume you didn't make that (?) -- did you buy a replacement stem and then just whittle down the shank to match up?More of the same this morning. View attachment 426604

Oh Gord......Preparing my posts for last night and this morning, but as a prelude, I've been noticing an awful lot of colored stems posted lately, in all kinds of pipe configurations and shapes, including meers, briars - bamboo and plastic combos . . . .
Kinda nauseating. Hope it has something to do with Halloween. If not, I know why I've been sneezing all morning. Allergic reaction.
Reminds me of some babe in one of the symphony orchestras I played in, who showed up with a multicolored plastic violin. Nobody laughed, and as she was a forgettable non-contract extra, was never hired as a casual again. Forgot totally about that incident until this week.
Seriously hope this situation is a passing thing . . . .![]()

Yea, it’s an extra I had laying around. When I stated this little project I had intended it to be an all wood pipe. That, however, didn’t work out.Beautiful.
