Relaxing after a wonderful salad, haddock and snow peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I've passed the half way mark of this bowl of year 2012 Stonehaven in a straight black sandblasted 1957 Barling Exel 249 Fossil T.V.F. black billiard with a silver banded military mount and a black ebonite tapered stem. Abner the Eager is by my side. Getting ready to watch the Padres-Dodgers after the top of the hour.

Cool temps very welcome (!).
Trying something a little different = a Triple Parfait.
Top 1/3 ... Balkan Supreme
Middle 1/3 ... GH Brown Flake U/S
Bottom 1/3 ... Mac Baren Club Blend
So, this probably seems like a completely mixed-up conglomeration, but it is unique. Not sure that I can actually identify each "phasing into the next", but it's not a bad pipe. This wasn't a carefully planned endeavor, was more of a random "Well, WTH, let's try THIS & THIS & THIS."
However, as much as I enjoy Parfaits, I'll probably stick to Double Parfaits in the future.
NOTE: This was in a French Rhodesian briar. I'm still mostly locked into Oct being Cobs with Aros.

Having for the first time Manil La Brumeuse, a sample I received from @dottlejockey ❤️

In a Savinelli Trevi Rusticated (320) (6mm).

Ok, I’m back, this time trying again a Vauen 6mm charcoal filter. Before I mentioned the draw was to tight if you put the filter in all the way till it stops, I was wrong, it doesn’t matter.

But the Savinelli balsa filters really do restrict more if you push them in all the way until they stop, which seems odd, given the triangle shape, I assumed that shape would allow more air flow around.

I read something about the charcoal helping ph balance, not sure, it’s why I’m trying it again.

I just started, only 3 small lights, and three small sips, then the pipe is out. So far my mouth is feeling fine.

This stuff has some seriously nice flavors going on, even with the charcoal filter I’m using, but you really have to sip it very slow to get all the nuances. 😋

Hmm, I’m starting to wonder now, after messing with this 3 years, if this is just a PH balance sensitivity with VAs. I certainly do know that some VAs do really bother me.

Be well everyone! 🤙 ❤️

P.S. No one can now dispute the dryness of my tobacco as the culprit! LOL 😝

For the newbies, Moisture and Manil are not two words synonymous with each other! LOL 😆

You want/need crispy, this is it, dead bone crispy dry! ;)
