After dinner, popped a newly-arrived tin of SG Navy Flake, although the date code indicates April 2023 - and none the worse for that. Tore off half a flake, folded it in four, stuffed it into my Savinelli 315. It has been a while since I've had some of this and hitherto I've always broken it down to tiny pieces; fold and stuff is a new adventure. Four charring lights, fifth for ignition, one relight during a good long smoke. Thoroughly enjoyable S. Gawith full power flavours - the 6mm balsa filter seemed to make little difference. Satisfying.

Well, I’ve been experimenting with the idea that my “must have accent” rule is not sound. My “should not buy more pipes” rule is sound as I’m still playing catch up but I broke it fairly bigly.
