Just received today in the mail from SPC a Savinelli Trevi Rusticated 320 6mm. I wanted to start trying out filters, because the roof of my mouth keeps getting irritated, so I’m hoping this will help. To start with I bought some Savinelli balsa filters, and Vauen charcoal. I want to get White Elephant meerschaum filters later, as I’ve been told they don’t mute the flavors.

The inaugural smoke will be John Aylesbury - Sir John's Flake Virginia, while watching Star Trek Discovery on Paramount +. 🍿 🎥 🤓

I love Sci Fi! 🚀 🪐 👨‍🚀

Be well everyone! 🤙 ❤️

Nice shape, color and cool band, to boot! Hope the filters help! :)

Bowl 3 for me again this morning, after breakfast. Trying some Cross Grain Flake in a Celebi meer, which seems to smokes Vapers nicely. This piece of block had an odd taste at first and didn't smoke other blends well. So i've been using Vapers in it ever since and i think the odd smell/taste of the bowl may be gone at this point. I've yet to teste that theory with a straight VA or another burley blend. For now, i'm sticking to what has worked. :)

Smoking something I picked up from a local smoke shop I just discovered. It was described as having all kinds of stuff in it like Latakia, maple and perique. Not sure how I feel about it. Needs more Latakia I think. Anyway this one is in a Lee Three Star bulldog with some black coffee to wash it down. Gorgeous day out today.

A third of the way through this bowl of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Fed all the ferals except for the absent Abner the Eager. Watching Mad Dog Russo. I'm sad to hear that one of my favorite pitchers as a young man, Luis Tiant, has passed away. We used to have contests trying to imitate his pitching motion; I almost always won. RIP El Tiante.

He had a good run with Boston.
Remember him very well.
Sad news indeed.
