Having for the first time Manil La Brumeuse, a sample I received from
@dottlejockey
In a Savinelli Trevi Rusticated (320) (6mm).
Ok, I’m back, this time trying again a Vauen 6mm charcoal filter. Before I mentioned the draw was to tight if you put the filter in all the way till it stops, I was wrong, it doesn’t matter.
But the Savinelli balsa filters really do restrict more if you push them in all the way until they stop, which seems odd, given the triangle shape, I assumed that shape would allow more air flow around.
I read something about the charcoal helping ph balance, not sure, it’s why I’m trying it again.
I just started, only 3 small lights, and three small sips, then the pipe is out. So far my mouth is feeling fine.
This stuff has some seriously nice flavors going on, even with the charcoal filter I’m using, but you really have to sip it very slow to get all the nuances.
Hmm, I’m starting to wonder now, after messing with this 3 years, if this is just a PH balance sensitivity with VAs. I certainly do know that some VAs do really bother me.
Be well everyone!
P.S. No one can now dispute the dryness of my tobacco as the culprit! LOL
For the newbies, Moisture and Manil are not two words synonymous with each other! LOL
You want/need crispy, this is it, dead bone crispy dry!
