Thinking perhaps my lesser bowls of C&D Epiphany might be due to not getting enough Virginia sweetness in the mix, I decided to try adding a bit of shake from my jar of Capstan Blue to this one, in my Dr Grabow Omega:

It didn't do what I had hoped (I still suspect that something happens to the topping after enough time in a jar, which gives me second thoughts about buying that 8oz can in the cellar) but it was still a nice smoke. It seemed like the extra Virginia helped push some of the rougher elements into the background, at least.

And now I've had enough nicotine for one day. Hoo-boy! 😅

Taking a break from a long weekend of harvest & winter prep. (Finished the fields just before dusk last night, projects all around the property, winterizing the camper, etc.)

Enjoying a cup of Iron Bean Coffee and a bowl of my 50/50 blend of Irish Flake & Three Nuns in a custom Irish Dublin made by Abb's Artisan Pipes.

Your post is exactly what I needed this evening for a lot of reasons. Spent more hours than I could even begin to estimate on a 560 that didn't look as nice by the time I was old enough to operate it as the pic below. It was apparently a big day, way back in the day, when it was added to the "stable" and basically supplanted the little "B" (another representative, not actual pic) that was kept for mowing and driving grandkids around duty. Sledding behind the big tractor when I was little was a big deal, lol, my Grandpa loved to pull us around the farm lot. 73CC3D12-8D05-4841-BA65-F9753BBEF099.jpegD842A3D6-E0F8-4271-966B-F16E1C7A9826.jpeg
