Relaxing after a wonderful salad, big wild caught catfish and snow peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm nearing the half way mark on his bowl of C&D Wintertime Reserve 2021 Dancer in a slight bent smooth brown circa 1950s-60s Orlik De Luxe London Made L174 woodstock with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Laughing with Padres' pitcher Joe Musgrove yelling at the Mets falsely claiming that Musgrove is doctoring the baseball.

Buck had to check on him doctoring the ball. If he didn’t then he wasn’t doing his due diligence as a manager. Spin rate up and constantly touching his shiny ears? Might as well check.

Good day all! Late post from yesterday: switched from GL Pease Stonehenge Flake in a MM Cob to a Burak Connoisseur smooth Tankard size 2 - a true flake pipe for me - and the blend finally shined! Starting today with Savinelli Brunello Flake in a small Tilshead smooth Dublin with canted rim and flattened shank with matching tapered stem size 3-4.

This will be my first pipe since coming down with a brutal cold. Not sure if I am jumping in too soon, but we will see. I have missed this so much over the last week:

SG FVF in my Bones Bent Brandy
It took a day longer to smoke this since my cold was still hanging on. I tried it today and can absolutely see why people buy this up as soon as it is available.

Scarecrow from last year in a Portland bent bulldog. This pipe was one of the first old pipes that I tried to clean up and smoke and I did a good-ish job with the stem and cleaning the insides of the stummel and bowl, but the actual pipe itself looks like someone smoked the hell out of it, and I can see why. Never a bad smoke out of this pipe.
