It's a broken clay pipe that I repaired and improved. It was bound with hemp twine so I can comfortably hold it at the bowl while smoking and also have the pipe sit up on its own. The feathers are just there because I think they look kinda neat.

Thank you! It was a fun little project.

OT:
Smoking the remains of the Hazel's Gone Nuts sample in my Capitello while trying not to drool into my new ingredients that just arrived. Many thanks @UB 40 for pointing me to that great shop, I would've spent a fortune had I imported raw leaves from the US.

@Chaukisch Is that pipe full of the delicious Virginia that will be the main ingredient of the "Clay King"???
I know the Cavendish is for the "Clay King". Which do you think should be the Virginia / Cavendish ratio for the "Clay King"; about half & half or Virginia as the main ingredient???
I love the golden coloured Virginia; do you think this should be the main ingredient of "Clay King". How does the Virginia taste???

Enjoying a morning cup of Iron Bean Coffee Co's My Little Friend roast alongside a bowl of aged Virginia Flake in a Peterson Great Explorers Series Scott (B17).

I was gifted this pipe by forum member @ashdigger a while back and it has quickly become one of my favorite pipes for smoking Virginia flake in particular. This B17 is a phenomenal smoker! I really can't express how much I enjoy this pipe and appreciate his gesture. Thank you again Tim.

The Virginia in that pipe is a bright and mild Latakia Virginia.

Of course I'll experiment but 50/50 should be good. The Gold Lemon VA isn't here yet, I think it'll arrive early next week.

OT:
I'm having a taste of straight Black Cavendish Danish style (Canadian maple syrup and bourbon vanilla),
in my Jean Claude basket pipe. Incredibly soft and smooth in the mouth and full of sweet flavor. Delicious!

About a third of the way through this bowl of C&D Wintertime Reserve 2022: Ghost of Christmas Past in a medium bend fumed tan crackled year 2020 Ahmet Govem reverse calabash meerschaum with a military mount silver band and black acrylic stem. Working on a review of this blend.

Capstan Blue in the Brebbia 984. I love this pipe, except for the skinny-flat drilling at the button end of the stem that makes it hard to get even a skinny pipe cleaner through. I attempted to gently twist a needle file through it to open it up, but induced a hairline crack anyway. :( I'll deal with that later.
