Is it, or is it not a Peterson? Does anyone got a clue?
It just came within a box of old pipes. It’s sandblasted ruggedly, cognac with black. And unfortunately it must’ve have had an accident, the rim in front is scratched badly. The owner sold it with a few pipes that are clearly dated to the 1950s.
Silver bands are missing, also a P-logo on the stem. The stamping on the wood is done badly, and worn out, hardly to read, just a few numbers left: 95…. But it’s got a p-lip stem, and that system chamber of Petersons.
Yesterday I saw someone show up a Kapruf 59. and it looked quite similar.
I spent an hour to clean the ebonite shank from brown gunk, to shrub the bowl, clear the airways polish and ad some carnauba wax to it.

Fired it with Motzek (Darasz) Strang, which I like a lot.
