Count your blessings! My tongue still burns today! I dumped the rest of my tin. :PDang. Never experienced that.

Congrats to you father and congrats to you for being a good son to him.I posted on another thread that Dad turned 101 last week
To mark his milestone I’m taking out a couple of pipes from his birth year 1922
He was a cigarette smoker.
I remember seeing tins (50 sticks) of Players Navy Cut and when these were no longer available, packs of Peter Stuyvesant and Benson&Hedges
First up is a GBD bent bulldog with tapered vulcanite stem
First bowl of Esoterica Tilbury.
Since Dad smoked cigarettes only, I thought a Virginia blend was appropriate

Honestly, it was my second favorite of the batch, not sure why it is going last. I do love the idea of seasonal themed artisan grade pipes. If Dat Dublizzle lasts another few days it might have a home lol
I’m also starting to think almost any blend is improved by perique, it’s like tobacco salt.Blairgowrie with added Perique in a Satou, maybe my favorite pipe.

Did you dry the shit out of it? I have a couple of tins I’ve yet to try, about a year old. I’m curious now, maybe I’ll crack one.Edward G. Robinson in a Kaywoodie Shellcraft billiard. I want to love this stuff as much as others do, but it bites the ever- living crap out of me when not much else does. Anyone else have this problem?View attachment 260182
Dude that pipe is so nice! Would love to see more angles! I’m a huge Jess fan, just haven’t found one close to my price range.

Blends with Perique are almost always what I grab for. I have to pick up some 100 Perique to put this to the test!!I’m also starting to think almost any blend is improved by perique, it’s like tobacco salt.
Same! That was my favorite of the group when you first posted. Thought for sure it was a goner.Honestly, it was my second favorite of the batch, not sure why it is going last. I do love the idea of seasonal themed artisan grade pipes.
Albertson was a sub brand of Hilson. This pipe was made in the 60s or 70s. I'm not sure if the quality of materials used in Bakelite products has improved. When was that made? I wonder what is different in Bakelite now vs then.
Thanks @cshubhraHappy 101 to your dad! The picture is your dad’s or is it you ?
Your dad does not look 101. Is that the reason you are not posting your pictures next to him ?
