2013 Mick McQuaid plug in this little Irish harp clay. The more I smoke them (clays) the more I see their appeal but they’ll never replace a good briar for my particular taste. I have a few more that I’ll smoke today with different blends I think, I don’t get the neutral taste thing though, they definitely have a signature taste to me. View attachment 179304
@Birddog66 Nice pipes; I've got a few of the Irish harp clays. I think they were made by Pollock's.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and snow peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I smoked a bowl of Wilke Wall Street in a 2013 straight black sandblasted Peterson Sherlock Holmes Series Baker Street with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite fish tail stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

Peterson Irish Flake in my Musicò lumberman.

This is the fifth bowl I've smoked with this pipe. In my extensive experience with Musicò pipes (having owned 2 of them so far 🤣), they are amazing smokers and a great value. My OTHER Musicò from the first match was IMMEDIATELY the best smoker I've owned (out of a sampling of around 35 pipes from 10 different countries). Everything seems to burn evenly in it, right down the chamber. This new pipe is a close second. Very little break-in time required and it's smoking effortlessly. I don't have decades of knowledge about pipes, nor have I owned any early Dunhill's or Barlings or anything, but for the value, Musicò seems like a good bet to me, especially when you compare the price between one of these and a new Ashton, Dunhill or what have you. Fit, finish, and engineering. Bingo, bango, bongo.

Of course, their bits could stand to be a little flatter 🤏 like old Savinellis. 🤷‍♂️

A third of the way through this bowl of Wilke No. 111 in a straight smooth medium brown 2016 Brigham Klondike 16 bulldog with a tapered black acrylic stem. Working on a new Betty story guest starring Steel Sterling. Listening to the Adventures of Harry Nile.

The weather was unusually warm tonight and we got the unexpected pleasure of enjoying the porch in November. I finished my cigar a little while ago, and decided to head inside, as it got a bit chilly. Wasabi was bundled up like Nanook and it got too cold for him.

Watch City Stubb's Pipe in a Georg Jensen bent brandy. Haven't smoked this blend or pipe in a while and I'm kicking myself because this is and has been a winning combination for me. I've been on an English kick for the first time in a while and boy did I miss burley.
