Not far from finishing this bowl of year 2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style.
48° and clear. Italian rusticated poker in a British tradition with 5 year old LNF. Lots of caramels and rich, sweet tones. An upper level smoke. 8.5/10

2019 Escudo in the "English cob" today, moving around to wherever there's the least wind. I'm belatedly realizing that I probably get more tongue burn on windy days because I'm drawing harder during relights, and with less attention to where I'm placing my tongue.
Going to have Seattle Pipe Club Plum Pudding Special Reserve Flake in a Savinelli Estella 320 EX Author (correct stem, with an “E” and normal proportions for a 320, unlike the previously posted Estella 320 KS). I love the grey, marbled stem on this pipe—the majority of the Estellas I’ve come across are in the ubiquitous yellow/gold. I’m fascinated by the Estella rustication and how the traditional Savinelli shapes deviate from standard form because of all the jagged, nooks and crannies.

1/2 bowl of fresh Rivendell out of bag in my 1980's Erica System Pub Pipe (Pete 2nd) with 22mmx50.5mm chamber. I smoked slowly for 40 minutes before I had to stop. Based on tobacco left I am guessing I could have gone another 20 minutes therefore this seems to be a two hour minimum pipe. There was some moisture around the shank chamber walls from condensation but nothing in bottom. This was the driest smoke I have ever had ... none of my other pipes smoke this dry. I put a pipe cleaner down the draft hole when loading and packed a bit tighter. The dry system worked today. And Rivendell is always tasty but I did sneeze once from the burley.
I pushed a second bowl of Mac Baren Navy Flake in a Peterson: Iora spigot (CP) 120. So goo... squirrel!
