Enjoyed an very tasty Sicilian pizza lunch, and have about a third of a bowl left of Wilke Lizzie Blood Virginia in a straight black with burgundy undertone sandblasted early 1960s Lane era Charatan 420 billiard with a black vulcanite tapered stem.

After dinner, I enjoyed a bowl of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a Cellini Original rusticated bulldog I purchased for $10.00 in the late 1960s, from the Cellini Pipe Shop (The Victory Pipe Craftsmen) in downtown Chicago. It was my go-to shop, where I purchased many Cellini pipes, and began mixing my own blends from the varietal tobaccos Art Silber and family had available.

What a rich history of Cellini, I don’t remember if I read about them before, but after reading your post, I went to go read about them.

At their peak, they had 5000 of their own pipes on display in a 4000 square foot store (with a 4000 square foot lower level) in downtown Chicago. In the 1970's, the French Guide Book to downtown Chicago highlighted 3 places to visit: Sears Tower, Water Tower Place... and Cellini Fine Pipes.

Wow is all I can say, I wish I was there getting the chance to see their shop.

Enjoy that pipe, I think you got me on the Cellini PAD Train now! LOL choo choo.... ?
