I spent the afternoon and evening at our monthly in-person Chicagoland Pipe Collectors Club meeting at Arlington Pipe and Cigar Lounge. There was an in store Peterson and Savinelli trunk show, we celebrated club President Tim Garrity's birthday with cake and song, and had our business meeting.
As all this played out, I enjoyed a bowl of "Dino's Balkan Blend" (McClelland's 5100, Syrian Latakia, blending Oriental, and some D&R Yenidje), in a Peterson Sherlock Holmes Smooth Strand, purchased in 2002, at the Grafton Street store in Dublin.
A great time was had by all!

Just finishing this bowl of Wilke Peanut Butter in a 2016 quarter bend Royal Meerschaum fluted paneled brandy meer with a black, gold and cream swirl amber colored acrylic tapered stem.
Now smoking Wilke No. 222 in a late 40s, early 50s straight black sandblasted Wagner (Comoy’s second) pot with a black vulcanite saddle stem.
I agree, man. And thanks for the compliment. I really enjoy that pipe.

Today in Athens, runners from around the world will run the "Classic" Marathon. Some of them (as a friend of mine) aim only to finish the race. A couple of years ago he tried it for the first time and he did it. I was very proud of him. I wish him luck today also: Go Nikos, Go!

Enjoyed a tasty envy apple, and am almost a third of the way through this bowl of Wilke No. 44 in an undated straight, smooth light brown unbranded short shank Bing-ish billiard with a long, tapered black vulcanite stem. Have a little more work to do.
A quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2010 Amphora Original (Brown) in a 1990s slight bend black Sasieni 4 Dot Ruff Root Dark 4 Dublin with a black vulcanite saddle stem. I'll probably end the day with this smoke.
