How do you like those cobs with the bamboo stem compare to a classic cob ? I miss those Bonfire , last summer they make it illegal in my area to “save the planet “ they said??
Sorry to hear that bonfires are illegal where you are. Here in Australia we do have restrictions in summer, but that is during the bushfire season, and so for a good reason.

The Old Dominion cobs with the reed stem are pretty good. The stems are not as comfortable as the Missouri Meerschaum corn cob stems, but they still clench well and have a nice open draw. What I like about the Old Dominion corn cobs is that they have a generous chamber size compared to some of the MM corn cobs.

Whole leaf blend. American English No. 3. A powerhouse blend with Kentucky and Latakia sharing center stage, with red Virginia and basma orientals singing backup. Once the bbq and smoky dies down in the last half of the bowl, the sweet and spice Virginia and orientals do a little duet. Quite a nice blend that has some heft, while still carrying some sophistication. Haha ok enough of my embellishments!

50% kentucky
25% red virginia
25% latakia
Some basma (maybe 5%max? Didn’t weigh this )

chopped very roughly and pressed to plug. Then stoved the plug 2 hr @ 200F. Through a danish stanwell 11 mat finish
