Relaxing after a wonderful salad, French cut pork chops and black beans dinner with a small scoop of strawberry ice cream for dessert. I'm just passing the quarter mark on this bowl of Ken Byron Ventures Mr. Christian’s Sticky Pudding in a 1975 medium bend sandblasted looking, smooth on the sides yellow Pioneer meer billiard with a black ferrule and vulcanite stem in the military mount style. This pipe has always smoked like a frontline meer since I bought it for $5.95 over 46 years old. Working on a review of this blend. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

Half & Half with Kendal Dark into a cob , i was reading some MM reviews on smokingpipes for the sake of it and found this guy review;

This is my first corn cob pipe but it didn’t last very long. The bottom got burnt out after 4 or 5 smoke. Also the stem protrudes inside the bowl and gets burnt. I think this is my first and last corn cob pipe.
What’s your theory with this guy ? Flamethrower? Blowtorch ? Lava ? ?

Ive taken the position that AFC pipes were made by BBB, and were essentially “own makes” that didn’t make the grade. That said, the couple I’ve owned, and a few more I’ve seen listed, have had either the Bloomfield or Frankau makers mark on the silver. Beautiful pipe regardless bro
You could be right as the only other pipe I've got with the AFC stamp is a Morell Mackenzie
(Sir Morell Mackenzie was involved with BBB)

"Quote from a paper on BBB pipes by Jacques Cole:
“Probably one of the first filter pipes (paper filter) was the BBB "Sir Morell Mackenzie". That this pipe was made before 1900 is shown by a letter dated August 27, 1891 from Sir Morell Mackenzie regarding these models with longer mouthpieces. The brand survived into the 1960s.”

... but the difference is that this one has stops between the letters
