After a couple bowls of Paladin Black Cherry I decided to cleanse my palate with a bowl of Peterson Early Morning Pipe in a Crown Jewels billiard. Much cooler today by about 20 degrees compared to yesterday, but less wind.
Five Brothers in a Cob again. Got me feeling like I should abandon the other blends and just become a codger. One day.
Sutliff 507-C Navy Flake in the Vauen Olaf bent egg with 9mm filter on the back porch tonight at just the right time for some entertainment ... a large horned owl, in the woods over the rock wall let out a territorial scream followed by three grunting barks and three hoots, then the dog on the next street started howling and wining which caused a female coyote in the woods to let out a cry and howl to which another female coyote further away let out a whining cry and howl, then a male coyote let out a loud pack assembly cry and howl, then the horned out started hooting while all three coyotes were crying and howling ... I wish I had a tape recorder and parabolic microphone to record that three or four minutes ... it was worth a fortune as a soundtrack and was all very real nature at its finest ! Great smoke !

I'm close to finishing this bowl of year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.
