Stanwell Melange in a corn cob pipe. Got 2 new books (of poetry) yesterday. I have to confess that my BAD is greater than my PAD and far far more worst than my TAD. Very small (tiny) possibility that I'll be able to read all the unread books before... well, before we'll see each other again in antoher/better place where perhaps our *ADs will be cured...
Be well good people!

Completely understand that. I too have far more books than tobacco or pipes. Have had to cut back on all my 'AD acquisitions. Didn't say stopped, just slowed way down. ;)

I love that match box and those long matches. Also, I have that same pipe knife but with buffalo horn.
Thanks -- the box was some random wooden box I found at a thrift shop years ago and repurposed (a little white glue and a cut-out piece of strike strip worked wonderfully). The matches are Swedish "Three Stars Safety Matches" I was able to purchase on Amazon.

Having G.L. Pease Haddo’s Delight in a Michael Parks SB Rhodesian 499, Pipe #1316, Grade IV (from early 2018), with a black, red, and grey swirl ebonite stem—a Comoy’s 499 and GBD 9252 were referenced for the shape (work-in-progress photo, courtesy of Michael Parks, who keeps impeccable records of the pipes he has made—I did not commission this pipe; I’m only the current caretaker).

I was gifted this interesting figural pipe a few years ago along with the meer lined Kaywoodie Canadian I post from time to time. Wasn’t sure what I was going to do with this one but decided today that it will be for Holiday aromatics so I’m breaking it in with Five Brothers. Not sure of the manufacturer as there’s seemingly no makers marks except on the band that says “Pure Silver”. Having lemon water, neat, on the side. IMG_4056.jpeg
