Two smokes today, an afternoon smoke with the Mr. Brog Noseburner, and an evening smoke with the Ropp J06. Both break-in smokes with Smoker's Pride Whiskey. Both lookin' good and smokes were surprisingly good for the nature of the break-in beast.

I'll repeat tomorrow in the same order with a final douse of Whiskey, afternoon and evening, and then, at the suggestion of @telescopes I'll be saucing them with two dark Cavendish tobaccos, that I smoke and like a lot (Borkum Riff Dark and Captain Black Dark Cavendish) for the final break-in rituals.

I have quite a bit of both, so they might just become regular staples in both pipes, along with similarly compatible tobaccos. These are two sweet-smoking pipes. I'm strongly considering another Mr. Brog Nosewarmer in black. Not only do I love smoking this pipe, I can see it being a staple in my travel outing kit.

Did a little low calorie snacking, and am half way through this bowl of year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09) with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Sleepy Suzy is by my side. Daisy the Feral Princess is by my feet.

Almost a third of the way through this bowl of year 2019 C&D Yorktown in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Terracotta 4AB No.108/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Watching a documentary on Ruth Paine, who knew Lee Harvey Oswald.

Earlier, I smoked a bowl of year 2020 Angler's Dream in a 2016 PSF POY quarter bend black sandblasted Steve Norse Vermont Freehand egg with an aluminum band and a tortoise shell colored acrylic saddle stem.

Currently, I smoking from a freshly opened tub of year 2000 SWRA in a straight black sandblast undated Savinelli Hercules 115EX pot with a tapered black vulcanite stem. The tub was bulging and when I opened it, there was a loud "whoosh" sound with several strands of tobacco flying out of it. The fermented smell of this blend wonderfully covered the space around me. The flavors that I expected are still present and the tobacco is moist, but it tastes like a fermented version of the SWRA that was my OTC in those days.
