Well, I did push the button on the Mini-Cob loaded up with Captain Black Cherry Cavendish. So, officially, my afternoon smoke. More cherry flavour than the past couple of days, but it at present has a slightly bitter cast rather than the as normal over-the-top cherry syrup obnoxiousness. Wanted to get this pre-loaded pipe out of the way as CB Cherry has been sidelined until July 4th.
Been doing some reading up on ear infections, and they can indeed affect the sense of taste, and usually do. While the ears have stopped itching, the right one remains plugged up, kind of like shooting a .300 Weatherby two or three times, and having your right earplug drop out with each shot. I do, however, hear the seashore. Progress.
I'm having the best smokes with monochrome tobacco, and will continue on this path for the time being.
Going food shopping now. Will be buying lots of garlic. Vampires, ya know. Also trying to prevent pushing the "pay now" button on my cart at Evilbay for the Brog Black Nosewarmer, to keep my blond one company. Ordeal.

Thanks! I painted it at a Art/Pottery shop where you can pick pre-made pottery and paint them. I painted this guy in NY Mets colors. The wife and I like Gnomes, so we have a few of them around the yard/house. What's even better is it hold over 16 ounces of coffee!
Spent the morning with some Pegasus in a Straus Anaglyph (i looked it up - it means “carved”). 
MMA and a home blend in a Mastro de Paja with some Spanish wine and a very occasional pizza waiting for my attention. But first...

Wrecked after (yet another) scotch broom pulling/cutting/dragging to burn pile session. Tooo wet to burn after last couple days rain, so recovering with Sam's Flake in the Briarworks 10th Anniversary Blasted Zulu, and a Bale Breaker Nebula Juice Hazy IPA (gotta love the names and can art these days!). On my 4th char light...good thing I refilled the lighter this morning. Can't compose a picture for the life of me with this light and the can colors, so, stock photo:
A third of a bowl left of KBV Jupiter Slices 7.1 in a post-1938 Pre-Republic Peterson Dublin straight smooth X155 bulldog with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Nigel Bruce smoked this model in two Sherlock Holmes movies. Please consider asking Shane Ireland at Smoking Pipes and Peterson to bring the pipe back into production. Abner the Eager was on top of my car when m'lady went outside a few minutes ago. She brought him in to eat, and he's on top of my chair now. Everybody else ate, and wanted back out. I'm watching the Braves-Red Sox game.
Back from a long motorcycle ride to get a steak on a beautiful day, and about to happily enjoy Mac Baren dark twist roll cake slices in the big “EXTRA” Jobey Shellmoor sandblasted billiard.
We had a storm last night that knocked out the power for 14 hours. So, after a day of cleaning up limbs and the stalls in the barn and no A/C to retreat back to...... I thought I deserved some Samuel Gawith Full Va Flake in my Charatan Executive apple. Oh, and the power finally did come back on............

@MortarMessiah I'd definitely agree, HB and coffee go so well together. That WW2 pupper clenching a pipe is about as cool as it gets. My guess is he's smoking a Pawterson loaded with Barking Dog

On the menu for my morning smoke was a tall bowl of GH&Co Kendal Dark loaded in my Bent Hunter Falcon with a meer and paired with an espresso.

I love espresso. I don't get it often but when I do it's always a good experience, I could see it pairing well with tobacco wonderful. I enjoy a good strong black coffee but a good strong espresso is hard to beat. It's making me crave one, looking at it
