Today started off like any other Saturday...then the wind kicked up, the temperature dropped precipitously, the clouds rolled in, and boy was it crazy! The sky just felt all electric, everything was super clear and crisp...hard to explain, but it was truly a magical day from about 1pm onward. Enjoyed a bowl of Ashton Winding Road in a Savinelli Mattone 614 faux-Hungarian, in the shelter provided by my workroom. One bowl left of this jar, which is the very last thing remaining of my original TAD purchase in the summer of 2020. 9/10
Bird report: House finch, California towhee, California quail, California scrub-jay, Steller's jay, American crow, Red-tailed hawk, Mountain chickadee, Northern flicker, Dark-eyed junco, Hairy woodpecker, and Western bluebird...
...and this little guy:
Foxes are pretty rare here, and this little fellow was quite elusive, but managed to get a quick shot of it before it scampered off into the brush. Hope it sticks around for a bit, and puts a nice dent in the rodent population.
