I've passed the last third of this bowl of year 2015 Mac Baren Virginia #1 in an early smooth Radice Tiger Eye G medium bend bulldog with a bamboo-style carving on the shank with a two dot black acrylic stem. Haven't smoked this pipe in a while. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Ferals in, out, in out, etc. this evening. They're all outside now. Sleepy Suzy and Molly Danger are in the den with us. Watching the Yankees getting their tails kicked by the Dodgers.

Happy World No Tobacco Day to everyone! Did my part this afternoon, Sutliff Sweated (sample) in a Foyard beechwood Rhodesian, with a glass of white wine. This will be my last bowl of the month. Wishing Clint Eastwood a happy 95th b-day, and wishing I could be up in his neck of the woods, perhaps battling the winds at Pebble Beach. 8/10

Bird report: House finch, California towhee, California scrub-jay, California quail, Northern flicker, American crow, White-breasted nuthatch, Mountain chickadee, Western bluebird, Mourning dove, Hairy woodpecker, and Spotted towhee.

This bowl is dedicated to my maternal grandmother, who would have been 103 tomorrow.



Now time to mentally prepare myself for a visit to the in-laws tomorrow. Anyone got any extra strychnine they're willing to part with?

Daisy the Feral Princess is snoozin' near my feet. Ever since Harry the Hairy started snoozin' in that corner comforter, Daisy won't go near it. That's cats for ya!


However, with my help, the resilient Feral Princess has another place to relax.

Alongside is a glass with a splash of Canadian Whisky (on the rocks).
Final dinner this month was Arabic Green Beans w/Tomato & Onion ... with chunks of Roast Lamb added.
