Two smokes today, both in the same (well not actually, I sprung for another one of these identical to the picture, except, cobs being a natural thing vary in size - the new one is a tad smaller in the bowl), Missouri Meerschaum Mini-Cob and both smokes were Savinelli 140. Both smokes, separated by about 5 hours, were break-in smokes. I got about 15-16 minutes out of each, about standard for this mini-size bowl, depending on tobacco, about like the Miniature McQueens.
About perfect for a quick picnic smoke at a local park, just as in my post the other day. So, this'll be used with the same Sav 140 tobacco only. Both smokes were excellent; my tastebuds are almost normal again. Just a hint of a muted vinegary metallic taste (can't really describe it) left from the still lingering olfactory infection.
I'm really appreciating this tobacco - I'm sensed much more substance in today's puffs, a body which I didn't taste before. And the variety was even more noticeable, so subsequence smokes in this now dedicated pipe, will be only better.
Both pipe and tobacco will be packed in my travel kit on local outings when I want this most excellent tobacco, which will not be infrequently. Was simply too lazy to take a new shot, so the picture is an underexposed retread of the old minicob. They look the same.
