Well, I'm gonna search for one and it's gotta have fringe.... Just like my old Davy Crockett coat had.

We can all form a club (@PaulRVA , @TheIronMonkey , @JoburgB2 , @Briarcutter ) and it will be the "Itty Bitty Rug Club" or IBRC for short and all of the Kool Kids will wanna join.

I have entirely too much time on my hands nowadays...............
Man that could go from a Club to a Line Up pretty quickly 😂

Sad story of how it happened.
That pipe however is so distinctive and the proportions executed so well. The stem to shank transition and bend just blows me away every time you post it.
I agree with all of that. I didn't know the story until I got the pipe. When I got the package, I was very surprised. He didn't tell me anything in advance, but wrote a letter apologizing for not giving me what he promised all that time. I told him he didn't have to do that because I understood why he couldn't. It took over a year for this to happen, and he felt like I deserved something for waiting and never bothering him about it. I told him that he had nothing to feel guilty about, but in reality, who am I to tell anybody how to feel about anything?

It's a treasure to me. He loves seeing it when I smoke it, and he feels like he made up for something he couldn't do, which helps him emotionally. The only thing I feel bad about is that rare artwork was destroyed. As an life long artist, you can understand why it bothers me when I think about that aspect of this story. That, and the valuable stuff that he lost.

More Tashkent in the Falcon meerschaum chimney, to see how the flavor compares to yesterday’s bowl, which had been sitting in the pipe since Friday and seemed extra tasty.

It may have simply been a case of abstinence making the heart grow fonder: this new bowl is approximately as good as yesterday’s. At the rate I’m burning through this stuff, I’m going to need to order more soon.

Interesting. A few years back when I started pipe smoking I wanted to have a smoke while playing golf like many do with cigars. In order to be prepared and not forget I loaded a cob gentlemen with Amphora Virginia, stuck it in my bag pocket, and forgot about it. A few days later I lit it up on course and it was amazing sweet and bready. It was like candy. I dont know if it was the weather, my mood, food, beverage, my swing, or what but it was special. I found myself making ummm ummm noises it was so good.

Maybe it was a combination of factors working together to give you a pleasant surprise! Experiences like that make me want to experiment to see what kind of things can improve a smoke; I’m going to have to develop some patience, I guess ;)

Catching up on posts and haven't had a chance to post today. But on my morning commute into work was a delightful bowl of C&D Billy Budd loaded in my Nameless French paneled pipe paired with my usual black coffee.

On my commute back home I loaded up a little mixture of 5 Brothers, Rivertown Crimson Shadow, and C&D The Beast in my Thayne 33, with a lightly flavored black tea on the side.

I hope you all have/had a great 🌮 Tuesday!
