:puffy: Peterson System Pipe Numerical Smoke~Off continued:
The 308 was discontinued in 1960. It had at it's beginning in the late 1800's been referred to as shape 14 with a few choices of stems. The Peterson Pipe of the Year (POY22) was this 308 shape referenced by its older 1890's title- the 14B. Reading of "Codger Challenges" etc.. I filled some Half & Half in the bowl of my Rusticated 308 / 14B favored by the USA's first global literary giant. Samuel Clemens, who I might add first began to use his more familiar pen name of Mark Twain in Nevada, not too far from here in both Virginia City & Carson City. His adventures here can be read in his book "Roughing It".
be well...

Yeah. I love it! That and fishing on a creek are the most relaxing things in my life. I also love building my own arrows. Very satisfying. I use a Bear Kodiak, 40# (in the pic), a Bear Grizzly recurve 45#, and a St Charles Osage Orange Longbow, 45#. Not sure I could choose a favorite. I love em all. But the longbow was a custom build, for my own specifications. So I am rather partial to it.
I have an arrow signed by Glen St. Charles. Have you read his book, Bows on the Little Delta?

Have a nice #50 breakdown recurve from Robertson Stykbow outa Montana.
And a locally made #40 Longbow.

I'll end the day with this smoke. Time to feed the ferals, and then finish reading baseball box scores.
