For no good reason this is the first time I’ve smoked this pipe in over 10 years. Made by Andrew Staples with a mastodon ivory accent (is that the right term?).

Also found an old jar of FMOTT when digging out this pipe. I had it left over because I didn't enjoy when I first had it maybe 8 or so years ago but I think that was due to an undeveloped palette. I’m sure the age didn't harm it either as I prefer mellower smokes. It reminds me how good McClelland tobaccos really were but definitely not something I would chase to pay $50+ a tin for.

Yesterday's Bayou Veermaster was a bit nic-strong for me! This morning going with just straight Hamborger in the 6 panel bent lattice meer, with coffee. I am really hankering for the honey sweetness of Peretti Ampersand Flake but it is tucked away in it's paint can in the cellar -- and the Hamborger is open...will it satisfy, I wonder? :col:

This morning I gave some MM965 a go in an Erik The Red bent apple. The jump from aro's to english has been a little jarring. I really enjoy Country squire aro's, but am trying to branch out. It didn't help that I have a mild cold and couldn't smell much.
